We are recruiting: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Igbo-Etiti, Enugu State. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines You will match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
