Great opportunity: we are hiring a furnace operator in Heard County, Georgia. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
