We are recruiting: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Louisa County, Iowa. The job is at a busy earthworks site. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) Day to day you will operate crawler dozers to push and spread fill across the site; cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes; clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily; carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
