Tailor machinist — Schoharie County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Schoharie County, New York. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. You should have: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Day-to-day duties: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
