Banksman wanted in Miller County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a banksman in Miller County, Arkansas. You will work at a shipyard. You will secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; read lift plans and method statements before starting; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
