Now hiring: we are hiring an elevator service technician in El Dorado County, California. The job is at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. You will fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts. What we are looking for: • Valid driving licence for site call-outs • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
