Gtaw welder — Winona County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Winona County, Minnesota. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Day-to-day duties: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Own basic hand tools and PPE 1+ years on the tools preferred. $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
