Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Campbell County, Virginia. The role involves: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
