Rigger — Rimin Gado

We are recruiting: we are hiring a rigger in Rimin Gado, Kano State. You will work in a heavy machinery workshop. Requirements: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces The role involves: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area 4+ years on the tools preferred.
