Laundry presser wanted in Plymouth County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a laundry presser in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. You will be based at a garment factory. Day to day you will check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts. Ideal candidate: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
