Steel fixing chargehand wanted in Shelby County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Shelby County, Indiana. Requirements: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing The role involves lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
