Health and safety supervisor — Kings County

Now hiring: we are hiring a health and safety supervisor in Kings County, New York. The job is at a manufacturing plant. Day-to-day duties: • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry Ideal candidate: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces 3+ years on the tools preferred.
