Pipe tig welder wanted in Breckinridge County

Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Breckinridge County, Kentucky. On the job you will handle: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion Requirements: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
