Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Trego County, Kansas. You will be based at a shipyard. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather On a typical shift you will fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
