Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Payette County, Idaho. You will be based on an industrial construction site. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Day to day you will weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring).
