Join our team: sheet metal welder (Kentucky)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Letcher County, Kentucky. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. You should have: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection You will keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing. At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $17 per hour, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Contact us to fix an interview.
