We are recruiting: furnace operator (Ohio)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furnace operator in Huron County, Ohio. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal The role involves inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
