Acoustic insulation fitter — Cayuga County

Now hiring: we are hiring an acoustic insulation fitter in Cayuga County, New York. The job is in lofts and crawl spaces. Ideal candidate: • Good knowledge of rockwool, XPS, EPS and PU foam • Able to read construction drawings and specifications • Confident using a gas torch to bond bituminous membrane Day-to-day duties: • Work to drawings, hitting the specified U-values and insulation thickness • Measure and cut insulation boards neatly around pipes, ducts and openings • Spray polyurethane foam onto walls and roof decks to the specified thickness • Fit acoustic insulation to partition walls and floating floors • Wrap HVAC ducts with foil-faced insulation and fasten with banding • Fix XPS and EPS boards to external walls with adhesive and mechanical anchors At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
