Vacancy available: we are hiring a rebar fixer in City of Suffolk, Virginia. The job is on a commercial tower construction site. Your main tasks: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
