Immediate opening: retail butcher (England)

Join our team: we are hiring a retail butcher in City of Bristol, England. You will work at a busy retail butcher's shop. Your main tasks: • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone Ideal candidate: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. £90 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
