Now hiring: we are hiring a pastry baker in Cass County, Indiana. You will be based at an in-store supermarket bakery. You will decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them; pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials; knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer. You should have: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • 2+ years' experience as a baker 5+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $2,500 per month, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
