Gas metal arc welder • Blount County, Tennessee

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Blount County, Tennessee. The job is at a busy production line. Ideal candidate: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Willing to work shifts and overtime The role involves: • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs Six days a week, one day off.
