Rebar fixer wanted in Sunderland

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Sunderland, England. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. On the job you will handle: • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers You should have: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements 1+ years on the tools preferred.
