Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welder in Issaquena County, Mississippi. The job is on a structural steel site. Your main tasks: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool What we are looking for: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection We offer $4,500 per month plus benefits.
