Immediate opening: we are hiring a moulder in Kalamazoo County, Michigan. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. On a typical shift you will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Full-time with occasional weekends.
