Now hiring: we are hiring a civil works labourer in Hamilton County, Illinois. Day-to-day duties: • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour You should have: • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions Six days a week, one day off.
