Immediate opening: pastry baker (South Dakota)

Now hiring: we are hiring a pastry baker in Edmunds County, South Dakota. You will be based at a cake shop. On a typical shift you will monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; load and unload the deck oven with a peel; score the top of loaves before baking; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials; proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them. Ideal candidate: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Food handler / hygiene certificate • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks We offer $2,600 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
