Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Leelanau County, Michigan. Your main tasks: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator You should have: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
