Now hiring: punch press operator (New Mexico)

Join our team: we are hiring a punch press operator in Colfax County, New Mexico. The job is in a metal fabrication workshop. What we are looking for: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout Day-to-day duties: • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Clear scrap and offcuts from the die area Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
