Great opportunity: we are hiring a powder coating operator in Butte County, Idaho. The job is in a metal finishing workshop. On the job you will handle: • Check dry film thickness with a DFT gauge in microns • Cure coated parts in the curing oven at set temperature and time • Run colour changeovers and clean the booth between batches • Apply an even powder coat with the electrostatic spray gun • Inspect the finish for runs, orange peel and bare patches • Degrease and clean metal parts before coating Requirements: • Knowledge of pre-treatment and phosphating process • Can read film thickness gauges and colour codes Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
