Gang bricklayer — Person County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Person County, North Carolina. You will work on a commercial construction site. The role involves: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go You should have: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
