Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Capitol Planning Region, Connecticut. You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day You will set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends.
