Foundry worker — Lagos Island Local Government Area

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry worker in Lagos Island Local Government Area, Lagos State. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Day to day you will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together.
