Fire and safety officer — Peterborough

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Peterborough, England. Day to day you will check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS). You should have: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
