Wood machinist wanted in Acadia Parish

We are recruiting: we are hiring a wood machinist in Acadia Parish, Louisiana. The job is on a residential housebuilding project. Requirements: • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent Day-to-day duties: • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails • Assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions 2+ years on the tools preferred. $31 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
