Now hiring: sand plant operator (New Hampshire)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Coos County, New Hampshire. The job is at a busy iron foundry. The role involves: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $4,100 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
