Great opportunity: we are hiring a concrete shuttering carpenter in Lee County, Virginia. The job is at an infrastructure construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
