Power press operator • Renfrewshire, Scotland

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a power press operator in Renfrewshire, Scotland. You will work on the press shop floor. Your main tasks: • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Clear scrap and offcuts from the die area • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Record output and downtime on the production sheet • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges Requirements: • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred 5+ years on the tools preferred.
