Fire and safety officer • Fairfax County, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Fairfax County, Virginia. You will be based on a high-rise building project. You should have: • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements Day-to-day duties: • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) Full-time, day shift.
