Great opportunity: furnace operator (Kentucky)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a furnace operator in Franklin County, Kentucky. What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Day-to-day duties: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces 3+ years on the tools preferred. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
