Great opportunity: we are hiring a MIG welder in Kit Carson County, Colorado. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. On a typical shift you will weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints. Requirements: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium 6+ years on the tools preferred.
