You should have: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Day-to-day duties: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
