Scaffold fitter — Bridgend county borough

Now hiring: we are hiring a scaffold fitter in Bridgend county borough, Wales. You will work at a commercial fit-out project. You will tighten right-angle and swivel couplers to torque with a podger spanner; hoist tubes, boards and fittings up by gin wheel and rope; set out base plates and sole boards on firm, level ground; plumb the standards and level the ledgers with a spirit level; dismantle the scaffold in reverse sequence and lower materials safely; fit guardrails, mid-rails and toe boards to every working platform. You should have: • Good head for heights and comfortable on open platforms • Proven experience erecting tube-and-fitting and system scaffold • Physically fit for repeated heavy lifting of tubes and boards Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Pay around £16 per hour, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
