Now hiring: we are hiring a HSE officer in Boone County, Iowa. You will work at a busy construction site. What we are looking for: • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Day to day you will carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates.
