We are recruiting: we are hiring a press machine operator in Avery County, North Carolina. You will work at a busy press shop. The role involves: • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation • Record output and downtime on the production sheet Ideal candidate: • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred Part-time with flexible hours. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
