Immediate opening: we are hiring a domestic electrician in Live Oak County, Texas. The job is in a power distribution substation. On a typical shift you will check earth continuity and earth pit resistance; isolate circuits and apply lockout-tagout before working; carry out preventive maintenance on switchgear and busbars; install LED fittings, ceiling fans and exhaust fans; test insulation resistance with a megger; run conduit, lay PVC trunking and clip cable. What we are looking for: • Able to read single-line and wiring diagrams • Normal colour vision for cable identification • Willing to do shift work and breakdown call-outs At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
