Immediate opening: argon welder (Georgia)

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Sumter County, Georgia. The job is in a pharmaceutical piping facility. You should have: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Day-to-day duties: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle Full-time with occasional weekends.
