Great opportunity: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in Zapata County, Texas. The job is in a residential tower block. The role involves service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
