You should have: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces On a typical shift you will TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool.
