Great opportunity: presser (New Mexico)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a presser in Torrance County, New Mexico. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. Ideal candidate: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work On the job you will handle: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching Six days a week, one day off.
